The
Van Wert County Ohio Sheriff's Office personnel are committed to
providing professional law enforcement services in a
courteous, common sense manner. An attitude of service to the
public is essential in providing effective law enforcement
services. Law enforcement needs the community support in order
to be effective. By working together, Van Wert County will be
a safer community to live and raise a family.
The
Van Wert County Sheriff's Office road patrol consists of
fourteen Officers. Of those fourteen road deputies, three are shift sergeants. The
Sheriff's Office jurisdiction
covers the 409 miles square of Van Wert County including all
villages and municipalities.
Deputies respond to all types
of criminal incidents and other non-criminal complaints along
with investigating traffic accidents and assisting other Offices. The
Sheriff's Office also serves various criminal
and civil processes for the Common Pleas Court and also
criminal process within Van Wert County for the Municipal
Court.
The Sheriff's Office also provides electronic
fingerprinting, child photo ID program, issuing concealed
handgun licenses and sex offender
registration. |
